Saving flowers.?

I got these flowers today at a funeral. I heard someone saying there is a way to keep flowers forever. What do i do? Instructions please? Someone please help me, this is the only part i have left of my uncle and i want it forever!!!

Saving flowers.?
Roses and baby's breath can be dried as is.

I saved the roses from my mom's casket and I just hung them upside down out of the sunlight and left them there for about 10 days. I put the blooms together and wrapped them with string and tied the string to a coat hanger. Hung it in my dining room. The baby's breath I put in a vase and let it dry. Don't put water in the vase.

Daisies can be pressed. Get a big book and open it to the middle. Lay a sheet of paper towel on the book's page and lay the flowers on top of the paper towel the way you want them to dry ( flatten them out ). Put another sheet of paper towel over them. Close the book and put some other books on top of it. Leave them there for a couple of weeks. They will dry and be pressed. You can put them in a picture frame.

Carnations can be dried but they aren't so pretty. You can hang them, too, or just set them in a vase without water.

You can also preserve flowers using silica gel ( available at craft stores ) but I have not had luck with this method.

Reply:What type of flowers?? you can dry them... but depends on what they are..
Reply:it does depend on the type of flower that u have but if u have a dry dark area try hanging the flower upside down and maybe it will work....certain flowers will not dry but you can have them freeze dried check with your local florist for someone who might do this locally.
